This year’s Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) Convention is taking place at Brainerd International Raceway. An annual tradition, the PGI welcomes all to enjoy grand consumer fireworks displays. There are also various engaging educational activities at the Convention, including activities developed by the Junior Pyrotechnics Association (JPA). Truly an event for all, the educational opportunities are accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities. Learn about the art of fireworks technology and fireworks safety with lessons from the Display Operator’s Course: a cornerstone of the PGI. The PGI Convention will also host plenty of great opportunities for collectors and consumers to restock their display supplies. In addition to educational opportunities, trade shows and incredible visual displays, there will also be fireworks competitions. If you are a Minnesota baked pyrotechnician looking to put your skills to the test: the PGI Convention is the place for you!
